Bazaar Website.
Bazaar has launched their new (was there an old one?) website:
I personally would have take another direction with the creation of the website, here are some things I did not like:
1. Ditch the flash.. its way too annoying; takes ages to load a page (you have to wait for the animation).
2. The main page menu is hard to follow; you have to go over every box to find out where it goes.
3. The Media Packs should be in PDF format.
Now my opinion is a bit biased .. as I hate flash and anything created in it.
Off the top of my head, If I were to create the Bazaar magazine:
1. I would have opted for something a bit more interactive and CMS-based (like an online-newspaper).
2. An area where readers can subscribe to RSS feeds with their favorite writers/articles.
3. An archives section where readers can track through old reviews and articles.
4. A writers section; with bios about the returning writers in Bazaar and the people behind it.
5. Bazaar guides offered in online format; instead of downloadable PDF.
6. Restaurant Review search/rating.
7. Kuwaiti domain name: bazaar.com.kw
8. A different approach with colors/layout.
There is a mention of an online-section coming soon; hopefully it will encompass some of the points I have touched upon.Congratulations to Bazaar on their new website! (And thanks for adding me to the links section).
Bazaar sucks.
What I dont get is why they went to an architectual company to design a website for them. There are definately more qualified ppl out there-like web designers??!!!!!! And I have to agree with another blogger- flash is so dead!!!
too much flash, it seemed like an AD for Bacardi! hehehehe..
your right they need more diversity!

k,thanks for the comments.We are working on the site and experimenting with different options. Will definately take all comments into consideration and will try to make the site as user friendly as possible.

Please remove the music or atleast give me an option to mute it since, I cant listen to itunes and access the site.

S,thank you for the positive feedback.You can mute the music by clicking on the off button on the botom of the page on the left. We are trying to work out a way so that the site starts without music and you choose to turn it on if you want….its still all in the tweaking stage for now.

i’m a web designer working at IT Company in kuwait. I just feel weird, that many companies in kuwait still using flash for their website.
i agree with you, flash is dead!
