MTC has launched 3G (sort of).

MTC has finally launched the Video Calling feature … Your phone will be on the 3G network, but the only difference is the Video Calling.

To get the service:

sms the letters ‘vc’ to 99999,

It costs 1KD to sign up and all video calls for the month of april are free. And, you must have a 3g telephone that supports Video Calls

    You need the following: The service added a 3G phone that supports videoconferncing (if its a nokia with two camera’s your set).

    This is what I did to get it working on my phone (Nokia 6630). It should work for most nokias sold in the past year with a camera.

    1. There has to be a 3G logo underneath the service bar.
    2. Go to tools>setting>network
    Make sure its on Dual mode (if available) and put operator slection on automatic.
    3.Go back to the main screen

    To make calls:
    1.Enter the number
    2.Push options
    3. Call > Video Call.
